My first times

1> First time pakai losyen ala-ala baby.
Hehe So masa tu dating masa Winter, suhu mencecah – 20 deg C. Memang kering la kulit-kulit, kene pakai pelembab kulit, maklum la orang Asia mana pernah kene salji. Kadang-kadang kulit gatal disebabkan terlalu kering. Mandi sehari sekali, itupun jika badan rasa tak selesa. Pakai baju tebal-tebal ala-ala orang eskimo juga la plus snow cap.

2> First time naik kapal terbang dan terbang sampai ke US pun.
Dulu takut nak naik kerna takut kapal terbang jatuh. So masa belajar kat kolej dan universiti dulu banyak naik bas. Biarlah 8 jam or more than 8 jam dalam bas tapi boleh tidor dengan nyenyak dan boleh tengok gelagat orang sekitar terutamanya kat Hentian Putra. Bila lagi berpeluang nak naik bas? Erk…

3> First time pergi abroad.
Tak pernah terbayang pun even masa kecek-kecek dulu nak mai ke US nih. Dulu punya tak suka kat US. Nah sekarang...

4> First time berpisah dengan family dengan jauhnya.
Namun anak lelaki ape kelas duduk dekat-dekat dengan family. Imam Ghazali pun pernah mengembara mencari ilmu selama sepuluh tahun dan selama itulah terpisah dari keluarga tersayang demi mencari ilmu pengetahuan. Aku bagaimana?

5> First time belajar masak sendiri.
Hidup berdikari bukannya susah cuma… perlukan kecekalan hati dan ketabahan jiwa. Masak la apa yang termampu. Yang penting halal. InsyaAllah takda masalah nak hidup kat tempat orang.

6> First time ada blog.
Ni pun selepas kak natrah (former office mate di UPM, now ada di Belgium) memberikan idea untuk sign in new blog. Masa tu baru tiba di Nebraska. Trima kasih kak Natrah. So, kira ok lar. Harap-harapnya dapat juga family baca tulisan-tulisan orang jauh ni. J (kalau ada! hehe)

7> First time kena tranning bebetul amik lesen kereta kat US.
They are very-very particular tentang undang-undang di jalanraya. Speed limit, sign board, resident area, school area and etc. Tak macam kat tempat kita. So, tak hairanlah jarang accident berlaku. So I need to prepare myself for that. Furthermore, kene drive kat belah kiri! Ohhh tidakkk.. Mula-mula comfius juga la tapi lama-lama dah tranning sokmo kira yakin sikit lar.

8> First time panjat gunung.
Masa tu on third year at UPM kalau tak silap. Kemudian, 2nd time naik gunun di US pula, i.e di Colorado mountains. Seronok juga la tapi tidak lah mencabar semacam pendakian Redang ditambah pula bersama-sama teman rapat.

A Round-Up

Now July is limping to its end, and there will be no more months like this until next year. Self thinking, this is would be the best time to evaluate for myself after 7 months was in Nebraska, USA.

What have you done Suhaizi? Well, I had a good time for myself. July brings me a good time even its quite hot season with average of 30 deg C and dry air. July brought me to Colorado; at several awesome place that I never been before and also for attending conference for more academic and formal of Precision Conference with my advisor at Denver. I met a lot of people in the same field as I am now.

Then I got a chance go to Colorado Springs, about 30miles from Denver. Then I spend a lot of my time dwelling in the summer class as well as the programming i.e. Liberty Basic and Lab View and deep thinking of my Matrix Algebra course. Fuh...I keep struggle to finish this course for short summer semester and summer semester kinda new for me and really make me stress.

Then I am lucky, may be my advisor can figure out from my tired face. He’d bring Matthieu and me to the Wildlife Park and Museum. July brought me to meet this guy who will leave USA soon as well as UNL to go back to France. He is exchange student but he really did a good job on his task. Bravo Matt.

Another person, Hafiz! aha this another guy and his wife from Malaysia. They are living pretty close to my apartment. So some time we talk to each other about bicycle, car, computer and etc in Bahasa. So at least I got someone to talk. ‘preserve’ my Bahasa. Furthermore, he is very helpful. Sometime Hafiz bring me so call 'buah tangan' if he comes to my apartment. His wife, Izza is very good in cooking. One time, she did nice cake and donut. Well, I am single man, perhaps. May be that the reason makes Hafiz thinking about me! I am really thankful for all their helps and supports. May Allah bless him and his family.

So tomorrow will be last day for July. That’s little bit a round-up of July about life here. Hopefully August will bring me more fun time, though. InsyaAllah.
